Counting down to Vacation Time

Everyone deserves a vacation, right?! Well I'm counting down until mine, 2 months to go! Last year we went to Narragansett, Rhode Island. My mother and her side of the family are from Rhode Island, so since I was born our summer vacations were always going home to Rhode Island to visit my grandparents and family. Unfortunately 3 years ago we lost our grandfather and a year and a half ago we lost our grandmother, so last summer my family and I rented a beach house in Narragansett and spent the week there, we plan to do this from now on as our vacation. It is a quaint beach town with lots of photo opportunities! I can't wait to return and photograph new places, so here are some of my favorites from last year!

It's Summer Time

I think with the recent weather, it is officially Summer time! Don't get me wrong I love summer as much as the next person, but the hot sticky humid weather, well lets just say it is not my favorite part of this season! When I think of summer, I think of vacations and beaches! So to kick off this post I'm putting up some of my favorite summer beach photos. Hope you enjoy and have a great summer!

Capon

When I'm not doing what I love to do, photography, I work full time at Capon Springs & Farms Resort. Capon is located in Capon Springs WV. It is a resort filled with lots of history and beautiful scenery. It is also a family run business, as well as a lot of my family members have and still work there. My grandmother started at Capon when she was around 16 yrs old, my mother worked there when my sister was young and she was pregnant with me and she still works there now as a part time job, my sister started there as her first job, (as did I when I was 14 working as a playyard attendant) as well as many of my aunts and other family members. Capon is absolutely beautiful and has some breathtaking views. It is an ideal place for some awesome photo opportunities! Last fall I spent the day at Capon taking pictures, it is incredibly beautiful in the fall, not to mention the fact that it is my favorite season, and here are some of my favorite photos from that day! A few hours at Capon developed over 100 of some of my favorite photos ever!
